yoogiees

thot of doing some exercise and cutieprincessmummy recommended yoga. So asked daddy to go along with me…surprised he said yes, even sacrificing his beloved golf game.

so off we went yesterday, rushing home to get to class by 6pm.

it was really good stretching exercise, all the mus-kle, hamstrings, vertebra, even organs were massaged, pulled, cracking and screaming in pain!! Eventhough it was not an aerobic exercise, daddy was sweating like a pig and my heartbeat was beating like an African drum?? amazing!!

my eyes kept looking at the clock to see how fast we can end our "torture"!

the great part is the only one when you sit or lie down and relax and do breathing exercises. however this is also a part I dun really like coz we are suppose to empty our minds…scary for me coz, to me empty ledi, then wat happens? sure I kept an open mind but definitely not an “empty” one. hehehe

actually today i was expecting body aches everywhere, surprise that i woke up with only some shoulder ache…most probably didn't exert myself very much or ehhh, maybe i am not that "unfit" leh.

hmmm all my exercise from carrying ellisa may have helped, everyone complaining she’s heavy like a rock (wild guess I think she is about 15-16kg now! for a 2 year old)

so i guess we can reduce our family insurance policies, since mommy is getting fitter and healthier!!

i've been thinkin of doin yoga too. but many christian advised against it. but i supposed as long as we don't meditate, it's fine.
how about your class?

You must be quite fit if you did not get any aches and pains. Normally after the first lesson, it can be quite a tough after effect!!

I think your hubby will rather go back to his golf after such 'torture'. Hehehehe.
BTW, I've tagged you with the $1 Million tag.

Hi Hi,

I love yoga too.
If you feel that one hour yoga class is too long to go.. You can actually concentrate on your breathing. Hahaha.. do not look at the clock.. this will make you feel the time is slow... Hehehe...

I would like to exchange link with you. OK for you ?

So with so much torture, will there be a 2nd round for you and your hubs? I for one cant stand pain, so i'd stick with my plain old jogging everyday, haha....

Hey M2A--it sounds like you got quite a "nice" yoga workout. It is amazing how, once we have children, how many things we have to lift---bags, toys, clothes, strollers, diaper bag, oh, and the child!

I'm going to echo HFM's words--will you be doing more of the yoga thing?

wow, congrats for getting through such a tough chore! (for me anything to do with stretching and whatnot are chores!)

we've been doing a lil yoga in our belly dancing class, it helps with the stretchings. I too sweat a lot with stretchings compared to aerobic exercises, maybe stretching is difficult
